About Us

Canine Performance Dog Training is owned and operated by Ron Gully. Ron is a graduate of the Triple Crown Dog Training and Behavior Academy located in Austin, TX. He has vast experience in training dogs. Ron is a retired police K-9 handler, P.O.S.T. Certified K-9 evaluator, founder and past president of Placer County Schutzhund Club, and assistant regional director of the Northwestern Region of the United Schutzhund Clubs of America. Ron competed in numerous schutzhund trials, dog shows and police K-9 trials. He is also a two time member of Schutzhund USA's Schutzhund 3 Club. Ron currently competes in Schutzhund trials and breeds German Shepherd dogs under the kennel name "Vom Hockenheim Ring", which is registered with the United Schutzhund Clubs of America. He consistently continues his dog training education by attending seminars and schools. Ron exclusively offers private obedience training to the public.
